In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate "Lorna Morello" as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA degree. Yael had the privilege from a very young age to have worked with Australia's premier storytellers and performers, as well as visionaries within the TV, film and theatre fields. Yael's career is rich and thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael discovered her new location within New York City when the production premiered to acclaim on the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael established The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery is a studio located situated in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the business supports the development of new writing as well as imaginative, inventive ventures.
