Samantha Mohr
Mohr is who was a UGA student who suggested her to compete in the Miss Columbus 1985 pageant, she won the contest. Her win allowed her to enter to compete in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. Mohr took home the title of Miss Georgia 1985 on Saturday 22 June 1985. Mohr earned over $3500 in scholarship funds and various awards from the pageant. Mohr was Miss Georgia and made public appearances all over Georgia in the course of her duties. Mohr was a representative of Georgia in Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September 1985. Computer-generated models successfully identified that Susan Akin would be named Miss America, Mohr's odds were set at 22 to one. Mohr did not make The Top 10 list for Miss America crown. Mohr's tenure as Miss Georgia continued until Marlesa Ball was elected Miss Georgia 1986.
